There are 20,000+ new books released on Amazon, the largest book retailer, every month. A substantial income can be earned from selling books, but the question is, “Where can one promote and reach the book buyers without getting lost in the multitude of new releases?” Large traditional publishers no longer promote books unless the author is well known and has many best sellers under their belt. Authors are stepping on each other using the same sources as all others. With retail bookstores virtually extinct and shoppers mainly looking online, what is an author to do in order to sell books beyond family, friends and the small amount sold through social media outlet?

The creators of Front Table of New Books have long recognized the need for a new outlet that will single out a select few so they can increase books sales. Many have tried new methods, which none has had a major impact. We decided to go back to what worked in the past, which was not difficult by using the KISS method (keep it simple stupid) rule of thumb.

Back in the not so distant past when Brick and Mortar chains reigned superior, there was one place an author wanted his or her book to be displayed – the first table of books upon entering the bookstore. Those books on the table generated the most sales. However, the practice is known as Co-op, and each book on each table costs publishers anywhere from $3,000 to $30,000, and even up to $50,000 depending on placement. Front Table of New Books is the digital version of that first table where an author can be seen and not lost in the shuffle without the extreme cost for placement.
